LINEAR STRIP METHOD

Watching helplessly as hair clogs your drain and hangs in your comb can be be very frustrating and disheartening. Hairline levels and shape can make a huge difference to your appearance and confidence levels. So if you are unhappy with your thinning or receding hairline, you may want to consider the linear strip method of hair restoration. At California Hair MD, we offer several options for hair restoration techniques, including the automated FUE method known as NeoGraft® and the linear strip method. Dr. Chaffoo and California Hair MD's technical staff can help you decide which hair restoration technique will produce the best results for you during your initial consultation.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE LINEAR STRIP METHOD OF HAIR RESTORATION AT CALIFORNIA HAIR MD?

In the linear strip hair restoration method, a strip of donor follicles is removed from the back of the scalp. California Hair MD technical staff will then prepare each individual follicle for the transplantation process. Likewise, implantation sites will be prepared at the treatment sections of the scalp to ensure accurate and optimal follicle positioning for increased hair density and hairline shapeliness. After the individual follicles are prepared, usually in single or two-to-three follicle rows, they are then implanted into the section of the scalp that is thinning or balding.

California Hair MD technical staff will then provide patients with aftercare instructions. These not only ensure that donor and implantation sites heal well, swiftly and effectively, but also help patients maximize the potential hair growth from each follicle. Patients can expect to see visible improvement over the course of six to nine months following hair restoration at California Hair MD.

HOW IS THE LINEAR STRIP METHOD OF HAIR RESTORATION at CALIFORNIA Hair MD DIFFERENT FROM MANUAL FUE?

Linear strip method of hair restoration at California Hair MD is a faster and less time-consuming than manual FUE. Instead of removing each and every individual follicle from the donor site, a strip of donor tissue is removed from the back of the head where hair is thickest.

California Hair MD provides the linear strip method for patients who need hair transplant to:

Artas i-X® Hair Transplant is a robotic hair restoration treatment that selects only the healthiest hair follicles for transplantation and removes those individual follicles without damaging surrounding hairs. Patients undergoing Artas i-X® Hair Transplant can avoid the lengthy incisions, stitches, and linear scarring associated with past hair restoration techniques.
